Ah, Lee-kuuuun. I felt the need to express my liking of him, because as a Sakura/Sasuke supporter, it might seem like I would hate the poor boy. There's nothing further from the truth though! I'll be the first to admit that Sakura would probably be better off with Lee. I think she'd be miserable on the inside, because she's formed such a strong attachment to Sasuke, but Lee would most likely treat her better than Sasuke ever could. Lee's the perfect guy. He's sweet, strong, and though he doesn't have the biggest batch of common sense, he has passion. He would treat Sakura like a queen, and stay by her side forever. He wouldn't cause Sakura all the pain and stress that Sasuke does, and though that's part of why I like Sakura/Sasuke, most girls don't deserve to be treated that way. I'm a firm believer that once Sasuke gets his revenge (if he doesn't die trying) that he'll lighten up. He won't have as much to be angsty over, plus, he'll need a new hobby. Like.. girls. Heh. That probably won't happen, but hey. I digress though, back to Lee. I really respect him, and I would love to have a boy like that chase me around. I've never seen so much dedication and perserverance. Except, when it comes to Sakura's chase of Sasuke. Which brings me to my next point. Lee and Sakura are going through the same thing, each chasing after a love that doesn't seem very likely to happen. They both keep trying though, ignoring the pain and wearing their hearts on their sleeves. It's ironic, really. And, I think if anything, Lee will become the one person Sakura can always depend on. He'd be the most trustworthy friend in the world, and I have a feeling she won't take that for granted.
